Exploit Herbs To Drop Smoking For Good

Abandoning smoking isn't a smooth task no matter how dedicated to the process you may be. But thanks to the innovation of nicotine replacement therapies, quit smoking drugs, and the advancement of alternative techniques such as hypnosis and acupuncture; thousands of smokers have been able to triumphantly quit smoking for good. However, if pills and needles are quite your thing, did you know that you could always use herbs to quit smoking? Because many smokers are unapprised that this is even an option.

One of the first rules about using herbs to quit smoking is that you have to consult with an herbalist or your physician prior to taking any of the currently available herbal supplements out there. This is due to the fact that using herbs to quit smoking can have a negative effect if you are taking any type of prescription medication, or if you are nursing or pregnant.

Which Herbs To Take?

So, you've cleared it with your physician, and are now ready to try using herbs to quit smoking. Now you need to educate yourself about the various herbs you can use, and what they will each do for your body. The first type of herbs you can use to quit smoking are those that naturally relax you and reduce your levels of stress. The most preferred of these herbs to quit smoking are Valerian Root (which is nature's very own version of valium!), St. John's Wort (a natural mood enhancer), and chamomile ( a natural relaxant).

Of these popular herbs to quit smoking, each will help an entirely dissimilar level of smoker. For example, a light smoker may only need the occasional cup of chamomile tea to help combat their withdrawal symptoms; while a heavier smoker may need a mix of both valerian root and St. John's Wort to keep them calm enough to handle the quitting process.

Other than taking herbs to quit smoking that have a relaxing effect, you should also include a regimen of vitamins and herbs that will help flush the remaining toxins from your body that smoking leaves behind. These flushing compounds include high amounts of vitamin C, garlic, ginko biloba, and lemon balm tea. The combination of these herbs to quit smoking will help remove the dangerous toxins that smoking leaves behind, and help fix up your overall health.

While using herbs to quit smoking may not help everyone, as long as you have been cleared by your doctor to try them they certainly can't hurt you. Abandoning is a course that needs to include doing everything you can for both your health and your emotional well being. By using herbs to quit smoking you can tackle both aspects at the same time.
